I wanted to take a minute to explain a new signature service we will be using called Sigstr.
Sigstr will allow our marketing team to centrally control employee signatures to ensure that company branding is consistent, and that the most relevant campaign is highlighted in every email sent. Please see my signature for an example.
Why does this matter?
- Sigstr adds consistency and professional branding to each email.
- Every email drives attention to what’s most important to our business.
- Email is our most frequent touch point with customers and prospects. Each of us sends over 30 emails a day on average. This is a tremendous opportunity for our team.
The User Experience
The great news is that you do not have to go through any kind of installation process to utilize Sigstr. The application is integrated with our email service provider and pushes newly created content to your signature automatically. With that said, you will not see your email signature during compose. Signature content will be appended below your email body after the email is sent. For this reason, you will need to remove any previously used signature templates from your email settings to prevent duplicate signature content.
If you would like to see what your signature looks like at any time, feel free to send a test email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Furthermore, if you want to ensure your Sigstr signature is appended to a specific location in outbound emails, you can create a default signature that contains the placeholder @MYSIGNATURE@. Upon send, Sigstr will locate the placeholder and replace it with the Sigstr template.
Once we are ready to launch, you may receive an invitation to update your Sigstr profile. The invitation will provide you with an opportunity to validate or add personal information within your Sigstr email signature.
